Eh I enjoyed the performance though, it was meant to be a more wailing kinda performance and she got so into it. Gave me BTHE on TOTP in 2005 teas

Yesss and it bugged me when she said that, because her voice sounds so much better when its cleaner and not as raspy

I never want her to lose control like that ever again. It was hard stanning for a vocalist who couldn't sing live for a hot second.

I don't think that was her trying uncontrollable raw vocals, I think that was just her with her voice completely shot

I think it took her a while to learn how to keep her voice healthy. I never really understood why she was still going for all of the high notes and belts when her voice was in that kinda shape…..same with how she sounded a LOT in the 2nd half of 2005 and 2006. I love when she wails, but not when its how she sounded at the VMAs or a lot of the Hazel Eyes tour shows.
I think a good example of her trying uncontrollable raw vocals is when she sang Piece of My Heart at the Pre-Grammy party in 2009. Or even Run, Run Rudolph.
Can't find it on YouTube, here's a download of it though:
