This is a horrible post.

To be a true fan, you must love and respect everything Gaga does
True fans should not think that Gaga owes them anything (even though we are the reason for her success in the first place)
Negative opinions should never be expressed, even if they are done so constructively

The first one is true. What some fans don't understand is that you don't have to like something your fave does in order to respect or appreciate it. With us particularly, we know how much work and heart she puts into everything she does, so tearing her down because it's not what we want, is ridiculous and adds fuel to the fire.
Gaga's job is to give us good music, which she does time and time again. That's it. If you like it, you buy it, if you don't like it, you don't buy it. Gaga does not owe us "anything". What people want are #1 hits to brag about, and, like, sorry but Gaga can't just get a #1 hit. It doesn't work that way.
There is no such thing as "constructive criticism" in this fanbase. No one knows how to express their negative opinions without resorting to rhetoric like "YOU'RE RUINING YOUR CAREER! YOU ARE FLOPPING!"
But the overall message is right: fans are ruining her. Not super fans, but bandwagon fans. The fans who attack everything she does. Fans who whine and cry because they are never happy. Gaga sees us. She sees everything we say. She sees the meltdowns over her not going #1, and that hurts her. That makes her feel like ****. For someone who has dedicated their life to making fans happy to see meltdowns because she's not #1 one, has to hurt like crazy and it deflates her. Why would she want to do her best when she knows her best isn't good enough? Why do you think she succeeded so well during TFM? 'Cause we supported her.
Gaga fans, all in general, need to stop blaming everything and everyone else and start blaming themselves.

The monster pit was the first great mistake. A cute idea, perhaps, but rewarding the fans who were 'best dressed' and most obsessed, perhaps ignoring those who had to travel hundreds of miles to see her and/or are not the sort of people who like to make a fool of themselves...

Except that rule never happened. It was first come, first serve. Most of the people I know who got into the pit didn't even dress up.

And really, people having fun and dressing up = making a fool out of themselves? How ignorant and close-minded can you be? Part of a concert is expressing yourself and having fun. That's one thing Gaga always encourages. Just because you're afraid of how people will see you doesn't mean others are the same way.

An inner-circle of 'superfans' has been generated, who feel they have the right to speak on behalf of Gaga with 'insider' information, serving only to further alienate those who do not qualify for this cult. They are, you may say, the outsiders in the fanbase composed primarily of outsiders; itself an issue.

Simple: ignore 'em.
No disrespect to Darren 'cause I think he's a great fan, but I'm so over fans blaming everyone but themselves. No one in the real world gives a **** about fanbases. All people care about are catchy songs, which Gaga needs. If she wants big hits, she's going to have to branch out and work with other producers. It's as simple as that.
