We all know ARTPOP has been a major underperformance, especially for Lady Gaga's standards. She once looked to be the most promising pop star, dishing out hit after hit, but due to the Born This Way era being mismanaged, single wise, and her material focusing solely on her fan-base and not really being relatable to the general public (with the exception of a few songs like The Edge of Glory), she began to alienate herself from buyers. She took two and a half years between Born This Way and ARTPOP without really keeping her name in the media (bar her hip surgery) or music on the radio by doing a couple of features to keep the general public aware about her, and now she's in a rut - her album has sold below expectations, her singles have sold below expectations, she has fired so many people who worked for her, and she is delaying music videos. With all of this, Lady Gaga has definitely lost a lot of star power, and everyone outside of her stanbase saw this coming... Did Lady Gaga allow this to happen to herself? Do you think the fault mostly her's???
