Ho hum, ho hum, another day, another scrapped Wonder Woman project, and here I was looking forward to a WW Smallville show.
Get it together, Marvel too. I don't know of any Marvel women with their own tentpole movies or tv shows. Supposedly, there's some pilot brewing about a Jessica Jones mini-series, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Agreed. I think they also said they had no plans for a female-led movie for the next few years too? Boo. Black Widow and Captain Marvel would be great for film and TV if they got a competent writer.
It's great Jessica's getting a Netflix series though. Hoping for something with Elektra or Misty Knight next.

Also its not like she has any infamous villains to excite people, her lasso of truth isn't the most exciting weapon ever and most of the story line initially will be trying to show her as a feminist character which is kind of on shaky foundations and could be boring.

Hmm, I disagree. I mean, they're two totally different audiences, but Brian Azzarello has brought in
tons of new fans. Never have I ever seen so many people (men, mostly) say how much they love Wonder Woman now.
It all depends on who's writing her, honestly. Gail Simone for example did fantastic things with the lasso. Seriously, a lasso that can make your opponent spill their deepest, darkest secrets? That's a nightmare if handled properly.
And if nothing else, she's got her fists.

I think she actually cares around a sword and a battle ax nowadays too? I'm not sure, I haven't had a chance to read the new comic series.
Agreed on her villains though, all that comes to mind is Cheetah.
