but im also not the average str8 guy and give 0 F#(ks about "fitting in" (Anticonformity <3 )... i fit in better with the gays tbh

Life really isn't just black and white. There are plenty of grey areas. Its much more complicated than that. I guarantee you that there are straight guys who lowkey "stan" for Popstars. Social stigma has a lot to do with this, too. You will be seen gay (which is really dumb) if you like a Popstar a lot, and since a lot of guys try to pick up girls they'd want to be seen as much "masculine" and "straight" as they could be, listening to pop and publicly admiring a female popstar isn't considered manly in society. Since guys are supposed to like "heavy" stuff and not "light" stuff, linking them with Pop (which is "light") will make them seem more feminine. The same argument could be done about Gay guys listening to metal. See? Many people presume that Gay men are all feminine and metal is "manly". "But you like metal how can you be gay?"
