Madonna's first album/era where she wasn't really at the forefront of attention/popularity anymore was Bedtime Stories - released over a decade after her debut.

And even then she had a hit or two, and her longest running #1 single.

But OT, I think Gaga could come back if she gets her **** together, because TFM proves there is something special there. But even then, I don't think she'll ever be as popular as she once was.

Whatever way you put in hon, it still sold more records and made more money from the music than BTW did! It was also a success in that it had longevity, something Gaga could only dream of, matter of fact its still charting right now at #124, more than 3 years later

The songs on ARTPOP are a drag. Applause was good and the only hope for it was for it to become number one, but Lady Gaga's team had a major freak out over a simple week ahead leak and released it the day after Roar, which was a dumb idea. Now DWUW is flopping and no other song is single material and all messy. She better have something up her sleeve for the next album. I'm ok with the outcomes of this era tho. Just ok..............
