We would set up a meeting with her and have everything ready (mood boards, character descriptions, costume designs) and beg and plead if we have to. We really haven't even considered anyone else.
I get that she might be nervous about taking a lead role again after Burlesque not doing well in the US, but this isn't cheesy...it's a juicy, dramatic, yet subtle role that she's been wanting to "sink her teeth" into for years.
she will be performing May 2nd.
