Well the poll has spoken. Rihanna and Beyoncé are the most global and as a non-US citizen I can honestly say that it's true.

Gaga and Rih have almost equal South African sales, and it varies from country-to-country in Europe with similar grosses in similar venues, maybe Rih picking up points for UK dates outside London, French dates outside Stade de France, etc.
Rih has North America, the Middle East and some European countries. Gaga has All South America, All Asia, Oceania, and some European countries. Global Gaga.

Gaga has Oceania? Lmao. I can confirm that's not true as I live here and Gaga is being paid dust, UA performed much better than Artpop is doing (which is probably going to drop out of our charts soon). Diamonds was a bigger hit than Applause and DWUW combined, and so was Stay. And I'm sure the rest of your comment is biased too regarding all those other countries, as an Asian popularity thread was done not long ago on here and Rihanna made the top 2 in a lot of countries.

My comment is clearly talking about touring.
Gaga's BTWB:
Vector Arena 34,367 / 34,367 (100%) $3,669,324
Brisbane Entertainment Centre 31,326 / 31,326 (100%) $4,289,453
Allphones Arena 54,774 / 54,774 (100%) $7,563,088
Rod Laver Arena 60,031 / 60,031 (100%) $8,169,642
Burswood Dome 32,046 / 32,046 (100%) $3,696,277
Rih's Diamonds Tour:
Perth Arena GTA 13,222 / 13,222 $1,535,953
Adelaide Entertainment Centre 9,281 / 9,281 $1,037,041
Brisbane Entertainment Centre 12,116 / 12,116 $1,341,098
Rod Laver Arena 24,017 / 24,017 $2,749,982
Allphones Arena 30,361 / 30,361 $3,449,021
Vector Arena 33,565 / 33,565 $3,377,624
Gaga's totals: 212,544 tickets sold for a gross of $27,387,784
Rih's totals: 122,562 tickets sold for a gross of $13,490,719
Guess you don't know much about your country's preferences!
For Asia, Gaga has the highest gross of any current popstar, even including Madonna. No other artist has these kinds of Asian receipts:
Olympic Stadium 51,684 / 51,684 (100%) $3,084,172
AsiaWorld-Arena 51,613 / 51,613 (100%) $7,893,195
Saitama Super Arena 96,550 / 96,550 (100%) $18,339,701
TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall 22,173 / 22,173 (100%) $4,274,243
Mall of Asia Arena 18,915 / 18,915 (100%) $1,275,387
Rajamangala National Stadium 41,478 / 41,478 (100%) $4,299,376
Singapore Indoor Stadium 30,952 / 30,952 (100%) $4,744,331
Sit the fvck down, sis. Global Gaga's receipts prove you infinitely wrong.

Oh isn't that nice, those people that saw her obviously were just casual viewers and don't give a **** about buying her music or supporting her do they? Touring is so overrated on ATRL, like seriously. Madonna has 2 tours that that outgross any MJ tour, is she bigger than him? Mariah Carey barely tours and she still managed to become the 3rd biggest female artist of all time, are you going to sit here and tell me Gaga is bigger than her? LOL. Touring caters the most for energetic performers because they put on a more visually exclude show than other performers, that's as far as it goes, and Gaga is the example of that. Stevie wonder probably couldn't outgross Metallica on tour but he is still by far bigger than them.

LOL you sound pressed! My comment was about tour grosses, and you replied to it, so I responded in kind. Touring is the biggest money earner, and it's far more likely that casual fans would download a song rather than purchase a concert ticket for upwards of $80.
It's not just about grosses it's about ticket sales. Michael Jackson's two main tours (Bad and HIStory, since Dangerous was cancelled) have far outsold any Madonna concert in ticket sales. You really haven't a clue, deary.

In a small country like the Czech Republic is most known Rihanna, followed by GaGa, IMHO.

So is Gaga bigger than Mariah? Is Metallica bigger than Stevie?

In what sense? Record sales - no. Monster singles? Possibly. Touring? Definitely.
This is about global appeal - Gaga's global touring and selling power > Mariah's. Mariah's was huge in the mid and late 90s, now it's diminished.
Metallica and Stevie both have global appeal, but Metallica's is much bigger when it comes to touring. You pretending concert ticket sales don't factor into global appeal makes no sense, just because it means Rih is down the scale compared to Gagz in most markets.

I'm not a big fan of Rihanna but she has been the most globally known for her music and has had the biggest, most diverse set of global hits.
