Perhaps, and I don't know much of Back To Black's success/impact on the US, but you can't put 21's success on that. Adele already made a name of her self with 19, and although Amy made it easier for Adele to hit the US market, Adele is the one who had the bigger impact at the end of the day. If we are going to compare apple to apple, Adele's music has had the bigger impact on music than Amy Winehouse did IMO.
