I recently skipped through some reactions from the media to Ke$ha checking herself into rehab and releasing that statement again, watched some video reactions on Youtube, and it's kind of obvious at this point: in the long run, this all can really work in her favor. She's more human to people now and many sympathize more with her than they probabably did before.
If she'll be alright again and can also battle through her issues with her label, then in the long run I believe there's no way but up for her, at least as far as her public image and perception is concerned. I'm cautiously optimistic about things.
