Y'all gonna be beggin' to get back to the BTW era when all it's said and done for ARTPOP, just saying .
I can't at the monsters trashing it. 6 million WW, a 1# hit and a sold out tour, baby.
ARTPOP is not doing it.

In recent interviews, she more and more seems to claim how she herself thinks the era was over the top and that she was not herself back then. Ridiculing it during the VMA performance was almost hurtful to me.
She never even stated the stuff in the OP? And how did she ridicule it during the VMA performance? If you're talking about the booing she put while being in the Bloody Mary inspired costume, it's because that's how people felt about her during that era...
Born This Way is her best album, bar none, in my opinion. But no matter how good your album is, it does nothing for you if you dress like Satan and sing songs called Judas.

But anyway, ya BTW is her best album but the era ****ed her over. The videos, looks, image, alienation, releasing Judas etc.
yes shes such a backtracker lol. an artist stands by her work, but she tossed it aside because it didn't go her way. gaga has like 0 dignity as an artist and now looks like an embarrassing fool all the time
BTW was the beginning of the end, and the continuation of her demise was this mess about ART which cemented her place as the most pretentious woman on the earth
This is actually kind of sad to see. BTW had such a strong message behind it and that clearly touched the OP. It's really sad to see how disposable Gaga sees that and is able to move on. This is just one of the many reasons why I can't bring myself to get into her.
She still loves Born this way but of course she'd completely try to scur away from it when she has a NEW album to push and she now thinks it (ARTPOP) is hot **** and better than her last.
I don't think the BTW era as a whole was negative to her at all, but more the fact that she ended on a flop note, cancelled her sold out tour in her biggest market (USA) and then disappeared from Radio and GP for nearly 2 years after being a hit/hype machine. This entire decline is very obvious, but I'm sure the mystery of how queen of the music industry Gaga fell from grace will remain the topic for future threads and media outlets this year.
I don't think Gaga is backtracking her message from Btw. Especially with the whole "stop the drama, start the music" from the beginning of ARTPOP. She is evolving the message from loving yourself, to loving all those around you and spreading that love. The day gaga decides to ignore btw, I don't know what will happen to me because I loved everything about born this way. The album, the era, the clothes. Because of Born This Way, I was able to come out. I have the vinyl and a poster framed in my room. Born This Way gave us DerpGa, how could you not love it? The only regret I have is that she pushed herself too much and was forced to cancel her remaining tour in the US, so I will never got to experience her perform live the songs that set me free from being trapped in an insecure, self hating phase of my life.
