Justin Timberlake to Induct Madonna at Rock Hall of Fame Ceremony
Justin Timberlake has been chosen to induct Madonna into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The ceremony, to be held on
March 10, will take place at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York. The pop/R&B prince is currently collaborating with Her Madgesty on several songs from her upcoming album, 'Hard Candy,' including the first single, '4 Minutes to Save the World,' which also features Timbaland.
The woman born Madonna Louise Ciccone almost 50 years ago in Michigan will be entering the Rock Hall Class of '08, who were chosen by the 600 voters of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. Artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their first recording is released.
Other inductees and the person inducting them are:
* Leonard Cohen, who will be inducted by Lou Reed
* John Mellencamp, inducted by Billy Joel
* The Dave Clark Five, inducted by Tom Hanks
* The Ventures, inducted by John Fogerty
* Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, inducted by Jerry Butler
* Little Walter, inducted by Ben Harper
John Mellencamp and the Ventures are among the artists slated to perform at the event as of this date.

Official: "Hard Candy" is the title of Madonna's upcoming album
Madonna's official website has just been updated with the EW.com exclusive news.
Entertainment Weekly website reports about Madonna's new album and claims that its definitive title is
"Hard Candy". Here is what they say:
The title of Madonna’s forthcoming album will be Hard Candy, EW.com has learned exclusively. The record, her last studio effort for Warner Bros., includes a track called "Candy Store."
Madonna chose to stick with the sweet theme because "she loves candy," says her longtime rep Liz Rosenberg. "It’s about the juxtaposition of tough and sweetness, or as Madonna so eloquently expressed ’I’m gonna kick your ass, but it’s going to make you feel good.’"
The album, which features Justin Timberlake on multiple tracks and production by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland, and Nate "Danja" Hills, will see
a U.S. release on April 29.
The first single, "Four Minutes," will be out at the end of March.
"4 Minutes To Save The World" Update
Our friend and community collaborator DaGo spoke to a DJ of a major US radio station (one of the three major radio markets in the USA). We cannot reveal his name, but can add that he has been influential with Madonna airplay over the years. Here's what he said to DaGo:
As of now,
"4 Minutes To Save The World" is NOT being premiered for another 4 weeks.
He does NOT have a copy, but the Senior Vice President of WB played it for him.
Justin Timberlake is on it as much as Madonna.
Timbaland doesn’t rap on it but more kinda sings like he usually does.
He’s pleasantly surprised with it. It’s ’reallly, really good’, he said. It’s the best he’s heard from Madonna in years and it’s very ’orchestral’.
More news on that direction comes from
Warner Music Italy, which says that "4 Minutes To Save The World" will be premiered on the radio at the end of March. But the strange thing is that
Warner Music Italy also says that the video for "4 Mintes To Save The World" will be premiered on mid March in the most important networks.
