I remember back when the oven fresh adds were also mostly added to the playlist as well. Now it seems they are just there for fun now. There are still many videos I wish they would add.
Tomorrow, at 1:00PM EST/12:00PM CST, Fuse will air a special 80's-themed countdown called #1 Countdown: 1980s. Is anyone watching it tomorrow? If so, please post the list.
After one month of 2008, here is how Fuse went:
There are no more WE shows on Fuse, so that's some good news for the network's fans, as there is no more of Daddy's Spoiled Little Girl on Fuse.
This means Fuse is going back to its mostly music roots again after their failed attempts to be the next reality-show laden MTV. Anime has not (or rarely) aired, PODO and Rad Girls are still airing-- albeit less than last year (with the latter's Fuse contract up this month), but movies have been aired more this year.
Rock is still the majority on the rotation, at 53% of the spins, but Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B is increasingly getting played more, at 43% of the spins, leaving 4% of the spins for Pop/Others.
Fuse Rotation Spins by Genre (2003-2008): Three Months Ago (Nov. 2007):
Rock: 62%
Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B: 35%
Pop/Others: 3%
Six Months Ago (Aug. 2007):
Rock: 69%
Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B: 28%
Pop/Others: 3%
One Year ago (Jan. 2007):
Rock 77%
Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B: 21%
Pop/Others: 2%
1.5 Years Ago (Aug. 2006):
Rock: 85%
Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B: 10%
Pop/Others: 5%
Two Years Ago (Jan. 2006):
Rock: 96%
Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B: 1.5%
Pop/Others: 2.5%
Three Years Ago (Jan. 2005):
Rock: 97%
Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B: 0.5%
Pop/Others: 2.5%
Four Years Ago (Jan. 2004):
Rock: 98.5%
Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B: 0.5%
Pop/Others: 1%
Fuse's Launch Year (2003):
Rock: 99%
Rap/Hip-Hop/R&B: 0.2%
Pop/Others: 0.8%
I will tell you that rock will no longer be the majority soon enough. I loved the days where it was more than 80 % rock. I liked being able to watch music videos with a ratio of rock to everything else of almost 10-1...

Comment on the Fuse adds for the week of 02/11/2008.
Fuse usually changes up their scheduling every couple of months and it is changing this coming week. New show titled "hit list" in place of regular music videos in the morning at noon EST. That is a scary title to me, but we shall see. Also Later with Jools Holland moves to 11am. You can read the rest of the more minor changes on their tv schedule on their site. Also there is a new show called "10 Great Reasons" at night. Doesn't sound all that interesting to me.
So as of 6:00AM EST today, Power Fuse is no more, and the video blocks have been renamed as Work It! (6-8am EST) and Hit List (12N-1:30p EST and 4-6a EST). Also, there is no more SURS re-runs at 5:00a EST. Oven Fresh airs now at 2:30p EST. Makes me want Fuse added to the Charter channel lineup in the STL Metro Area.
Tonight at 11:00PM EST/10:00PM CST/8:00PM PST, The Foo Fighters will be playing at the MSG live on Fuse, commercial free. So is anyone watching the commercial-free concert tonight?

Good News: There is no rap songs added to Fuse for next week.
Bad News: Daddy's Little Spoiled Girl is back on Saturday and Oven Fresh hasn't returned.

Ashes Divide
lol at 3.5 rock adds. It is true though. Maybe FUSE is starting to become more rock again. I noticed when I watched music videos this past week, there weren't as many "other" kinds of music as a month ago.
