It's ironic - to be racist to Americans is acceptable to a lot of people who jump to call Americans idiots or uninformed bigots. The country with the most giant pharma research companies, highest number of top universities and largest economy and GDP can hardly be entirely stupid.

I'm not american and I don't hate USA and its citizens. But the country is a big mess in some aspects like healthcare, gay rights, guns control and how the government and most part of the population treat some immigrants

Congrats on a general sweeping statement about Americans that's entirely untrue.

How do US citizens have more freedom than those of Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Australia and New Zealand? You don't even have human rights and are frowned upon when you don't believe in god.
Also, from what us foreigners see on the news and such, the US basically bombs and makes war with countries because they don't like their government, 'want to help them' and want their natural resources. Which is disgusting.
Next to that, US citizens are pretty ignorant of other cultures. While in my country, the normal person learns 3 to 4 languages at school (French, German and English are the 3 most common), in the US most people only speak one language.
The US government is pretty disgusting.
This is just for a few, but your eating culture. I was in California and the only restaurants there are McDonalds, JackInTheBox, Burger King, KFC and hundreds more fastfood 'restaurants'
Before you come to me saying I'm jealous, I live in the #4 best to live in country while the US is #16

Anyway, there's this misconception about America that people have instilled in their minds based on what they see and hear. America can be a hot ass mess with it's government and how ****** the economy is, It pisses me off at times as well, but it's really not as bad as people make it out to be. Everything has positives and negatives.
|
Exactly. People get their judgments based off what they see in the media in their country, and most of the time it's a negative view of Americans and their culture. The sad part is there are all these people hating on Americans for all these ridiculously stupid generalizations, yet they probably have never had a real face to face conversation with an American. And I'm not talking about the southern hick Americans or the trolls you see online or the typical Hollywood archetype. Go talk to a group of educated young adults in new York, Washington DC, Chicago, San Francisco, etc and then come back to me and talk about ignorance. People here aren't as dumb as you like to think. And even if they were, that's cause to hate all Americans?
It's fine to hate our government, we do too at times. But you don't know most Americans, so how can you say you hate a whole nationality when there is good and bad in every country? Not to mention everyone seems to be conveniently ignoring whenever someone brings up that they are on an American website stanning for american artists.

Another stereotype. I think the thing that has most people mad however is that jobs are being sent over seas to other countries however

I addressed the first half of your comment already, but I'd just like to point out that countries in Europe generally have more of a reason to learn multiple languages because their countries are much smaller and more tightly packed, increasing the likelihood of running into someone from another country. Or ending up traveling into a neighboring country.
If each state in the US were its own country with a different language and culture then I'm sure things would be different. As it stands though, many Americans have no need to learn anything other than English and Spanish/French, depending on if you prefer Canada or Mexico. Many Americans will never have the chance (or the need/want) to leave the US. You could drive for a couple days across the US and still not reach another country.
Also you clearly weren't looking hard enough for places to eat since California has some of the most diverse choices of restaurants in the country. Also the most health conscious as well. A simple Google maps or yelp search will reveal a ton of great options in the San Francisco bay area alone. Of course fast food chains will have the most presence. That's why they're called chain restaurants.

To the statement that in California there were only fastfood places, sorry girl, y'all didn't try at all.
I live in a tiny town and there's lots of Asian/Mexican food (authentic NOT Taco Bell etc) so in places like San Francisco and L.A. there should be TONS to choose from since it's one of the most multicultural states; depending on what county you are in Blacks, Asians, Latinos could be the majority not minority.
