So with nicki next album shes said she wont be doing dance/poppy stuff and is said to be a part 2 of the re-up and i just dont see her getting another mainstream hit with any of that kinda stuff, i mean she is a hip hop artist so a hit on the hip hop charts is what she'll be aiming for but i just cant see her beign that big on BBHOT100.

Do you think Nicki could have another hit? What do you expect her sound to be?

Yeah, she can. Hip Hop is a trend now . 2013 we had so much craze over hip hop culture, so if she chooses the right singles/features she'll smash. Her next album needs to bring attention to her "black/hood" audience they left her pretty much after Pink Friday. And her straight male audience too .

She's still had success with non-dance music. Nicki's name being associated with the song is enough for it to have any sort of success, but I think she'll still have some. I could still see her changing her mind and releasing a dance/pop lead single, though.

The fact that people think that just because she's not going to have any dance-pop on the new record that she can't get another hit.

Dance-pop is so 2008-2012. Starships was the right song at the right time, that's why it smashed. If she released a Starships 2.0 in 2014, she'd flop HARD. People aren't here for that anymore. Nicki is smart, so I'm sure that whatever she releases will be a nice crossover hit and if she can strike up controversy like she did with the Stupid Hoe video, she can score a big chart monster. People are forgetting that this is the digital era, and streams play a BIG part in what's popular and what's not right now. Nicki held the 24 hour VEVO record before with Stupid Hoe, who's to say that she can't do it again.

I think it will smash mainly because she makes great pop music. Starships sold so well. Nicki can make pop music again and still be successful.
