In terms of career? I was reading the replies in one of the threads, and it got me thinking.

She's failed to grow up as an artist. She's essentially releasing the same songs, in terms of maturity level, as she was 10 years ago, despite the fact that she has two kids, two failed marriages and a mental breakdown behind her.

Not to shade Brit, but she has a shitload of life experience to draw from, why is she wasting it and letting it eat away at her? Things that people can empathise with and relate to. Specifically those within her age bracket. When she says things like, "I don't have much confidence in myself" I think it's so sad, but in a peverse way really poetic. Look at all she's accompanied, and yet that's how she views herself. There's so much incongruity and a bitter sweet irony there, I think it would make for a great record.

Perhaps country. She'd open herself to a whole new market, and it'd put her in a space where she could be much more comfortable. Not having to compete with people a fraction of her age, or be hyper sexualized.

Doesn't she have social anxiety? I don't think she's ready or she's too scared to open up to the whole world about what happened behind closed doors during her breakdown.

ITZ was the last sign of growth by Britney.... Blackout is a great album but Britney's involvement is lacking in that album

Well, Gaga shared her life experiences and not many people cared. I doubt Brit would want to share hers after the disrespect Gaga received. Some people still say Gaga's lying about her past...and her problems parallel Britney's.

She never did anything wrong, the media did her wrong, they're to blame.

I think her music was and still is for the most part fine. The problem is with Britney herself and her closed off demeanor. You can't just not promote and barely show any personality in interviews and expect people to keep caring. Although I know that isn't Britney's fault. If she were still promoting like she was during her prime she wouldn't be flopping as hard even with the same material imo.

What did Gaga really share though? She just makes pop music and then talks more into it than what's really there. I mean the gp isn't going to watch 5000 interviews just to find out what Do What You Want is really about.

Do you really think that a significant amount more people would have bought BJ if they knew about it though? I don't see it.

Even if she has social anxiety/doesn't like interviews etc, the music would of been the best way to reflect her personality. If would give the public something to buy into.

BJ is just a really boring, pointless and underwhelming album.....still dunno why it was even created, it means nothing. It was supposed to be her "most personal album" and show her "growth" musically and vocally when it actually did the exact opposite

She did nothing wrong. The trajectory of her career is in her hands. If she is fine with where she is in her career, that's all that should matter.

Well she simply does not care about her career anymore. She already said that she has nothing to prove which means why should she keep trying? Also, the Vegas residency is ideal for her because she only does about 4 shows a month which is nothing. She will never come back to fully promote anything or do award shows again.
