The Voice hosts twice a year. By the time a winner or contestants from a certain season want to promote something, one or two seasons have already gone by and the general public will be more focused on the newer contestants.

Anyway Emblem3 and 5H, their debut singles have both sold 400k+ and have reached moderate success in other countries (something TV lacks)

And the total slayage is that Alex & Sierra has also sold the same amount with a cover song, so your post is actually not something to discuss

As I said before, The Voice needs to focus more on the contestants than the coaches

Well, no... Danielle's single has only sold like 300k at this point but it will go gold at it's current rate.

And Cassadee's is platinum, she'll continue to slay I'm sure.

And Cassadee's cover of "Over You" from the voice has sold above 500k, so Alex and Sierra ain't the only ones boo.

Because viewers don't mean a thing

Fifth Harmony and Emblem 3, for example, already have a fanbase, unlike any The Voice contestant after the show ended

Please... How do you think Cassadee won. Her FAN BASE. She was had a decent fan base going into The Voice because of Hey Monday and gained a lot more country fans this time around.

Because nowadays the market is saturated with such shows and people no longer watch them in hope of finding the next big star. They watch them for saturday night (or whatever day these show air in the US) entertainement and that's it, end of story. Contestants need to be aware that they are first and foremost products for the television executives and the viewers for a brief period of time until the next batch of the next show appears and it just continues on and on and on.

The U.K is a slightly different situation in that people there actually buy the records at some point, however for most artists they only buy the first few singles and eventually the first album because by the time a contestant is on to their 2nd album the attention of the GP is already focused on someone else. The only contestants who have managed to maintain their momentum for more than one era are Olly Murs and One Direction, and One DIrection are the only ones who have managed to do it internationally. Fortunately for them, the international GP doesn't know and/or doesn't care that they're from the X-Factor. Had they not become an international success, I don't think they would have sustained their momentum in England that long either.
