So tough this year, because I honestly loved so many movies.

BEST MOTION PICTURE – DRAMA

I think 12 years deserves to win best motion pic drama though. I know a lot of criticisms of it being 'another slave movie' but really I find that annoying, how many times do other types of films get done? That movie was shot beautifully and had the best performances. The Roll Jordan Roll scene had my crying.

BEST MOTION PICTURE MUSICAL/COMEDY

Haven't seen ILD yet but I want too so bad, I know it's gonna be one of my favorite's this year. I wasn't so much of a fan of American Hustle. Idk, I thought the performances were amazing but something about the storyline was missing. The story itself I think just wasn't that captivating. It was moreso about the characters and performances which I loved (especially Bale and Renner..and Amy). Personally I want Her to win. Even though I haven't seen ILD I don't think I'll like it as much. That movie was ****ing perfect. Socially relevant and everyone can relate to some part of the movie. All the characters are so touching and **** it I still think Scarlett should win awards for her voice. Her character was more powerful than most this year.

Wolf is amazing too..But I'm more of a sap so it wasn't as touching as some other films this year which is why I would put other movies over it. But Leo was amazing and the movie is a ****ing roller coaster from beginning to end, so thrilling. If it wins I wouldn't be surprised or mad.

Edit: I need to watch more movies because for the performances categories I haven't seen some of em' so I don't feel like my answers would be anything notable lol. But out of the ones I've scene, I hope Cate wins for Blue Jasmine for Best Actress in a Drama and Chiwetel for 12 years. Blue Jasmine was great but nothing special, kinda your usual Woody Allen affair. I much prefer Midnight In Paris. But Cate's performance was amazing.

Unfortunately Gravity won't win, yes. But I don't really understand why people keep saying that the movie doesn't have a message. It's much more than just a movie with a "boring" script and amazing visuals

Hoping for Alfonso to win Best Director and Gravity Best Score though.

BEST ANIMATED FEATURE FILM

Oh and FROZEN for this. Despicable Me 2 was hilarious but Frozen was soooooooo good. I was surprised with how much I liked it. It's so reminiscent of the golden era of Disney. The soundtrack is fantastic too. Had me feeling like a 12 year old girl again obsessed with princesses lol.

BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM

Is there any doubt that Blue Is The Warmest Color won't win this? It's got to. Amazing movie but I found the super long sex scenes ****ing awkward. Still don't see the point in making them that long lol.

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A MOTION PICTURE – COMEDY OR MUSICAL

JOAQUIN. I can't even imagine how hard it was acting and responding to lines to someone who's not even there. He's so expressive and made himself so vulnerable for this film.

BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A SUPPORTING ROLE IN A MOTION PICTURE

LUPITA. If you didn't feel for this girl you have NO SOUL. I wanted to jump into the movie and save her. She was amazing. Can't answer for male haven't seen most of the movies.

BEST DIRECTOR – MOTION PICTURE

Steve, easily. The movie itself was so brilliantly put together. From the way it started to the way he got kidnapped, etc.. It flowed perfectly. The cinematography on this was on another level. Beyond Gravity, which was great for what is was, but didn't match emotionally to this film at all. And visually it was spectacular. Maybe not on the CGI level of gravity, but the scenes had just as much impact I can argue this with anyone

BEST SCREENPLAY – MOTION PICTURE

Spike Jonze **** everyone else. You know how corny Her could have been? The sex scenes, everything about it. The future that he created in this film seems so realistic. I can actually see all of this happening. Even the little things like the way people are always talking on their phones around him. He's a master and deserves this.

it's much more important to cinema than "The Artist" or "12 years a slave" wich is just another movie about a topic from old times, zorry it might be good but the academy feels very predictable

it's like major studios know wich topics will the academy love the most to make their movie a best picture winner

slavery, war(specially if you make the militars look like heroes), political themes or histories, bio movies of big historic figures

a movie like gravity actually revolutions cinema and makes worthy the entire theather experience whilst also giving an amazing Sci-Fi story about survival and SANDRA'S PERFORMANCE :epic:

BEST MOTION PICTURE SONG

WILL WIN "Ordinary Love," U2 Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom

BECAUSE it's a nice song; it offers the HFPA a chance to acknowledge Mandela and The Weinstein Co., which has fought hard for this one; and, above all else, it offers a great excuse to get the internationally-revered U2 up on the stage. (Taylor Swift and Coldplay would be exciting, too, but less so for the HFPA demo.)

Have you seen 12 years though? To dismiss it as 'just another movie about a topic from old times' is disrespectful. The movie will depict it in a way you've never seen it before, I can promise you. It's not a 'HEY white people, feel bad!' type movie. The white characters are layered and not pure evil like depicted in films before. They're doing disgusting things but the way it's shown is different. It shows in detail the small things slaves had to rely on to survive (lupita being the chosen girl picking the most cotton, chiwetel having to act like he can't read or write and has no knowledge even though he was smarter than all of them, etc..). Solomon Northup is someone anyone can relate too, that's the beauty of the film. He was an educated black man who didn't deserve to be where he was and showed that. It's much more than a simple "These are white people who are evil and these are black people who are helpless slaves". You could feel all the stuff he felt. And at the end of the day, it's not even about that, it's about rewarding the best movie, regardless of anything else.

Gravity was great don't get me wrong, but it doesn't match the impact of which 12 years hits nor were the performances as good. Also, the films were both visually stunning. This is all opinion though idk why I even wrote so much lol. Gravity might win as well people love that movie.

Tatiana Should win best actress, Lupita should win best supporting, 12 Years should win best film. Leonardo should win best actor comedy, Best actor drama is soooooo hard the only person I haven't seen is Robert Redford but either Chewitel Or Matthew. Best Actress Cate Blanchett for sure , Best Actress Comedy- Amy Adams. I just Osage County this morning and Meryl is great without a doubt but I really liked Amy better. Best Supporting Drama: Jared Leto better win because he was just excellent. I think American Hustle will win Best Comedy. Breaking Bad and its nominated Actors better win all their categories. Behind The Candelabra will sweep for sure. I'm hoping Brooklyn Nine Nine or Parks & Recreation take comedy and Any finally gets her much deserved Award.

I'd like to see Amy Adams win for Best Actress - Musical or Comedy. It'd be nice to see some recognition in the form of win considering she's been nominated for some incredible performances over the last few years. I think she stands a good chance since she's in a separate category from Sandra, Emma and Cate - but she does have Meryl
