Anyways, I'm a fan since Crazy Love, because 2008-09 were basically the years when my interest with music started.
I hated his wife before, but now I think she's kinda cute...

Its a Beautiful Day is a great song

It's such a shame, we missed out on most of the To Be Loved Era. I've been debating for a while if I should bother getting this re-opened or not. I first discovered Michael back in 2004 when he did a cover of Can't Help Falling In Love for his Come Fly with Me album (I'm a HUGE Elvis fan too ) and I've been in love with him ever since. Crazy Love was such a great era for him! and the album still sounds fresh, to me at least. The album is so cohesive and has one of the best openers ever! I still get chills from the CMR drums. All of the track choices were perfect and made for one of the best traditional jazz influenced albums of all-time.

What did you think of To Be Loved? I'm a tad upset about After All not getting a whole lot of promo. The song could do amazing if it was handled right. It's such an amazing yet accessible song.

Well, it's sad, but at least he was smashing with two album during Christmas season.
I really like the album, it could have done much more but Michael is just not that artist that gets great album sales while releasing smash singles. He has great longevity, and is a touring force so he gets money whatever happens with his singles...
I hope his next has a few covers while the rest is self-written material.

He doesn't necessarily need a smash single either, it would just be nice to see After All get proper single treatment. Honestly, I actually think To Be Loved might be one of my favourite albums by him. Aside from the expected flawless vocal performance, the album is really diverse and set a whole new standard for what modern soul-pop should sound like. It's just such a genuine album with exceptional delivery. I've really started to consider it one of his best alongside It's Time and CMI. Also, the balance of self-wrritten and covers in TBL was ideal in my opinion. Although, I really wouldn't complain AT ALL if we got a fully-written EP with more songs like Close Your Eyes.

Michael won Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys tonight for To Be Loved.
That makes him a 4x Grammy recipient. Not too shabby.
