But tbh now the army knows why Britney's vocal production is a mess. Those producers are working with extremely off vocals... Autotune can only so so much.

In the case of Britney's toxic vocals... they are not unedited LEAD vocals... they are unedited backing vocals that were added later to fatten up the lead vocals. It's not necessary for them to be as polished as the lead, which is probably why her singing sounds a bit lazier here.
