On CBS, The People’s Choice Awards scored a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating down 15 percent from last year’s 2.7 adults 18-49 ratings. It was the show’s lowest rated telecast in six years.
The much hyped commercial previews of stars like Britney Spears, and Justin Timberlake being physically there did nothing for the ratings.
Why were the likes of Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, and Christina Aguilera a bigger draw when they were present for the show in 2013?
Because Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lawrence are more current. I think the fans of Justin are older and over those types of shows. I know when his album came out. It seemed to be all 30 year old women buying it.
It's not an award show that people look forward to and make sure they don't miss, like the Grammys or the Oscars. Most people didn't even know it was on last night.
I thought it was tonight and I was going to watch it
