What I'm saying is that everyone knew her history, being chased around by paps, being badmouthed by the media, every day going through hell, people wishing for her to die yet she still came back on top, she survived. Back in 2007, I was actually very worried about her condition and she turned it around.
This is why I stan so hard for this woman. Not only does she deliver musically, she is a strong woman. She did that on her own.
It may not really reflect it now but she is just extra careful of the things she's doing. Can you blame her? She lost trust completely with the media. Everybody turned on her and the biggest slap to the media is for her to come back and to not speak of it 7 years after. How many times was she offered a one on one interview? A lot. She turned ALL of them down. Her dark past may have been very public but the inner story still remains one of the biggest mysteries in pop culture.
She gained respect because of her contributions to pop culture and by being a strong individual.
