Body Music
I only know a couple of songs from 1975 (the popular ones) but they're fun

13. So one thing I discovered this year is the awesomeness of Cassie. I didn't know much about her (she's kind of local to the US) but I heard so much hype for this mixtape and decided to check it out. I actually love the monotonous feel to her voice because it leaves the tracks open to interpretation. There is heavy sensuality in this mixtape and the production is really good.
Favourite track(s) - Take Care Of Me Baby, I Love It, Addiction

12. So their comeback was really hyped. I'm not even a Daft Punk fan though so I wasn't really all that interested, HOWEVER, I decided to look into the album after I found I loved Get Lucky. I think this newish sound worked in their favour to be honest considering someone like me who wasn't a huge fan of their more techno style dance music was interested in the funky flow of the album. My taste is basic though as my faves happen to be the singles.
Favourite track(s) - Get Lucky, Instant Crush, Lose Yourself To Dance

11. I feel like Drake is one of the only rappers that can really do sensitivity well. This album explores all kinds of emotions and makes me feel all kinds of emotions. Its not too inaccessible for someone like me who isn't a rap fan but still has some pretty good tracks. The R&B and smoother R&B-influenced hip hop tracks are still my favourite though.
Favourite track(s) - Hold On We're Going Home, From Time, Wu-Tang Forever

I listened to Cassie's mixtape once and thought it was Ok. I literally stan for her unrelased discography and her first album so I should give it more chances.

General interest is kind of decreasing, and the semester is already busy (its only been a week ) so I'm going to post adjusted graphics that are generally easier for me.
10-6 today, and 5-1 either tomorrow or Sunday and then we'll be done!

10. I said I'd sneak in one non-English album somewhere, and its here. Really though its one of the best albums of the year. I know there are probably no fans of hindi music here but if you are interested in expanding your taste, let me know. I use an adjusted tracklist that I think flows better . I love this album because it effortlessly blends in modern sounds with that of traditional Indian folk music and generally carries a dark and seductive feel all throughout.
Favourite track(s) - Nagada Sang Dhol, Laal Ishq, Ang Laga De
9. I'll quickly mention first that I've never actually been a fan of Vampire Weekend. There is something about this album that changed my mind though. Its got a great collection of catchy tunes with the right tinge of rock influenced indie pop.
Favourite track(s) - Unbelievers, Step, Hannah Hunt
8. For me at least, I prefer Electric Lady to Janelle's previous album. The whole album feels like a journey or a story rather than a collection of songs. Its filled with some of the greatest R&B collaborations of the year, shoutouts to Prince, Solange, Miguel and more. I feel like I can come back to this album for years to come and it'll still sound as fresh. I also need to give a quick shoutout to "Look Into My Eyes" which is probably my favourite album track of the entire year.
Favourite track(s) - Look Into My Eyes, Electric Lady, Victory
7. James Blake has one of the most intriguing voices in male artists today. His album really compliments his voice with songs that feel so outright powerful. The entire album is like a roller coaster ride.
Favourite track(s) - Overgrown, Life Round Here, Every Day I Ran
6. This album is the ultimate grower in my opinion. At first it might seem a bit overwhelming, but as you listen to it more and more it becomes more reminiscent of the M.I.A that I personally love. I really respect the influence of spiritual and cultural elements in the songs, and she really excels lyrically here.
Favourite track(s) - Double Bubble Trouble, Exodus, Know It Aint Right

Nothing Was the Same slowly became one of my favorite albums of the year. My favorites are probably "Furthest Thing", "Own It", "Connect", "The Language", "Too Much", and "Pound Cake". And "HOLD ON", Obviously!
Vampire Weekend's album is simply stunning. Strong all the way through, not a single bad song, and all of them so well written. Favorites - Unbelievers, Step, Diane Young, Everlasting Arms, and Ya Hey. But I seriously love every track
Based on what I've seen in your albums list, I'm expecting RHYE in your Top 5, yes??
