CoD is a perfect example of a bad game selling well. They have released the same **** game since 2008.

The only reason why it sells well is because it's on ALL systems+PC. If it sells just one mil on all systems, by default that's a 4 mil selling. you can't go to a gas station/grocery store or watch tv/movie without CoD being thrown at you. Oh and then you have the mainstream media like IGN sucking CoD **** to get money. If you see/hear enough of a media, chances are you will consume that media.

Probably not. The GameCube had all of those franchises on board and still tanked. Most analysts predict that the WiiU won't even touch GC numbers either.

iirc the PS2 sold about 100-120mil by the end of the 6th gen (though they still produced it during the 7th gen). The xbox did 23-24mil and the GCN did 21-21mil.

So if the GCN "tanked" then the xbox did too.

What I call "tanked" is the DreamCast, virtual boy, gba pocket.....ect. WiiU can't be considered a flop or failure until it's had a chance to fight. Without Mario, Pikmin, Zelda, kart, smash, Metroid, DK.....ect on the shelves it's uneducated/short shifted to call gloom and doom.

Slay 3DS! I wanted Sony to slay as well but this whole new generation of consoles has been a complete mess tbh
