The obsession and Katy is widely disliked on this forum so this poll is meaningless and it's obvious what the outcome will be
Actually I think she's widely liked here.

Answering the OP, I think Katy can be diverse when she likes. She just doesn't have much music control. Her songs that she wrote solely by herself (OOTB and TOY) sound amazing, yet since TD she apparently unlearned how to write unless with another 3 co-writers that patronize her sound and make it generic.
She's sang pop rock, pop, trap, dance-pop, soft rock, electropop, powerpop, alternative rock and europop. And let's not forget gospel. She's diverse, you're delusional if you think otherwise.
She's in a similar boat as Rihanna is as far as single success goes (so far anyway), though compared to Rih, she rarely takes risks and plays the girl next door all too well. ET was different though, for her.

In other words, she's done pop-rock and pop.
Diversity is when you do hip hop/pop/pop-rock/reggae/r'n'b/EDM
not these "synthpop, dancepop, europop, powerpop, hardpop, electropop etc" BS

but even when shes doing different things, they all sound similar to eachother to me.
im not some huge music authority but my ears work pretty well and her music just doesnt SOUND that diverse even if she technically does different types of songs
absolutely not. even her song themes are repetitive. the most experimental songs she has done are dark horse and walking on air. Rihanna is the pop girl with the most diverse music catalog.
No. She does bubblegum pop only, but that doesn't mean she should change that to become a diverse artist. I think the GP is content with bubblegum Katy.
