We have the hiring sign up because we legally have too.
But in reality only her and the 2 assistants are getting ANY hours all winter.
So you won't get hired today.. this week.. month.. or season.

We also have to have 3% of our daily sales (per person) be Shoe Care or
we get written up. That's why we always offer it to you before you leave.

There's a distinct difference between a workplace secret and being a straight-up thief, especially if the customer actually came back to claim their money and you lied to their face.

I used to work at Burger King and one time, the grill was defect, so my boss tried to fry hamburger meat and sell it as if it was grilled

It didn't work though.

Home Depot will almost always have one, if not several, "secret" shoppers who roam the store, but are actually security guards and are authorized to tackle and detain you.

God, I know so many Home Depot secrets that I could share.

I worked at a school last year.

Yes, all the teachers talk **** about their students in the teachers' lounge.

And if there is a brat that none of the teachers like, the next grade level will fight over who gets that kid next year and sometimes they all stand together and say "Send that little **** to a different school."

EDIT: Ooooooohhhh and when they open a new teaching unit in the middle of a school year, the other teachers send all the black and special ed kids to that class since they are difficult to teach because of behavior problems. That happened to my Kindergarten teacher friend who transferred in last year after 2 other teachers quit because they couldn't handle that new class.
