I really don't understand why people keep comparing Bey to other artists. She has outlasted every "it" girl that the media has hyped up and pitted her against...Britney, Christina, Ashanti, Jennifer Lopez, Ciara, Shakira, Gaga etc.

I'm sure Adele will sell great with this next album and I hope she has a successful career, but let's see what happens when her newness wears off and people start looking at other things besides her voice.

You have to understand Quee Bey isnt pressed about these new pop girls success, not when ALL of them (miley, Demi, lorde, adele, gaga, rihanna, katy, most european pop girls, most kpop girl groups) praise bey to bits and her influence on all their careers bey stays winning

Anyway, this sounds like a super pressed attempt to use Adele's once in a lifetime feat to downplay Bey's current success and it's really unnecessary. The album has gotten rave reviews and I have yet to see even ONE where a reviewer does not discuss the music making note of the way the album was released while reviewing =/= not reviewing the music.

Either way, it's stupid. Both of these ladies recently had and are having remarkable sucess and they both adore each other.

BEYONCE wouldn't have sold half of what it did if she didn't release it so unexpectedly without promotion, sounds dumb but

17 videos and a brand new album at $16 is pretty cheap. Some deluxe albums are even more expensive than that.

I love them both, I've bought all their albums & DVDs and will continue to do so.

The anticipation from the fans, gp, & critics for both women to release their next project has been huge. Adele is the newcomer true but you can't deny that even her haters are curious as to what she'll put out next, hoping she will fail to come anywhere near close to her success with 21. And we already know how interested everyone was about Bey's album because of 4: hers fans wanted new music period & everybody else wanted to know if she'd be able to come back and succeed as she had in the past or pull a gaga/another 4. It's just ridiculous to pull a Stan war in this thread when both women have proven that the thirst/interest for their new music is real; which is what this yahoo article poorly sums up in terrible wording.

And Adele isn't a visual artist - as she said to rolling stone: "i make music for the ears not the eyes". so y'all's & yahoo can forget about her trying it with bey on that level. Don't expect Adele to go all out on a photoshoot for the album booklet either.

We will have to wait and see what Adele's next project will bring in the forms of music, lyrics, song-writing (because Adele is on par with Taylor Swift as a singer-songwriter), content, and production. Sales, awards, & chart positions will also be compared but that's inevitable and I'll let each Stan base let it rip when that happens.
