I don't know if this thread has been made before, but let's name laws we find weird in our own country/state. This thread is not to complain about laws and get full on political etc, just laws that are generally weird and worth a share.

Here in Norway it's illegal to harvest cloudberries before they are ripe(I guess ripe is the right word, never heard it before though) I don't get what could be that bad to take them a little before they are ripe

Apparently here in the UK it's illegal to keep a pigsty in front of your house.

In Mexico you can sue your ex for "wasting your time" if you dated for more than 4 years and never got to marriage.

We don't really have weird laws.

In Italy:
- a battery powered wheelchair can't go faster than 6 km/h (an 81 year old man was fined for going as fast as 9 km/h )
- in Milan, a law forces the citizens to smile as much as possible everywhere except when in a hospital or during a funeral
- it's illegal to work as a "liar"

Anything pertaining to homosexuality is weird, especially given we are a devolved power rather than an independent state where the main legislator who confers competence to our assembly has legislated in favour of gay marriage and the ability for homosexuals to give blood.

That sounds like a social norm rather than a piece of legislation. More than likely, this is to do with lessoned indecent exposure criteria due to the pregnancy, if accurate.
