Of course the papers try to influence the country, thats been happening for years. But they cannot make stories about just anybody, they have to be about people the public want to hear about - Cheryl and Simon would please the majority of viewers and get viewers that have left to come back, writers know that, stories about Tulisa (who I liked on the show) and (no shade) Nicole coming back aren't spreading around.

The producers trying to 'bring the entertainment factor' in more than it already is is exactly what killed the show. It's so overproduced and OTT.
