If Gaga did a completely rock album, a beyonce style release would slay the charts & the critics.

I'm suprised Pink has the least amount of votes. She's outsold everybody on that list (except Adele). And realistically speaking:

1. Rihanna would do about 350k first week (not more that 400k) - which is still better than her current first weeks
2. Adele would slay based on 21's success
3. Artpop would've done better than it's current first week sales simply because Gaga wouldn't have pulled all those pathetic publicity stunts before the release.

I don't get the poll options so I won't vote. However, I think Adele could easily surpass Beyoncé with her new album.

What promo did she have for this album? Last time I checked, no one knew when the album was coming. To do promo for an album the GP needs to be aware of the new release, i.e release date, press release, first single, posters, months of promo spots, pre-sales etc. Beyonce had none of that. The album just dropped.

Umm, what promo was done before the album was released? Those banners on iTunes were posted right after she released the album and it was ONLY on iTunes. You had to be on iTunes to know the album existed. I mean I had friends who had no idea Beyonce even released something.

I also can't at people basically discrediting Beyonce's power by saying other pop girls could easily do this. I mean maybe in the future, but if Madonna or someone else did this project and succeeded like Beyonce, everyone would be like "NO ONE ELSE COULD DO THIS" and until someone else tries it and surpasses Beyonce's level of achievement with this release strategy, I am convinced no other pop girl can right now.

If Gaga did it with Born this Way it would probably make Beyonce album look minuscule tbh. Especially because it was the singles that hurt that album for the most part, and that was the most hyped album from any pop girl in a long time.
