The mall where i live is literally a tourist attraction

You're not really painting yourself in the best light as a 26 year-old asking why there's no one in the mall anymore.

I buy most of my stuff online now. I only go to the mall or actual store to try things on or see if there are closing sales.

But the major malls around me are still pretty busy.

The malls are always packed around where I live. There's like 4 different malls, all less than 20 minutes from each other.

I hate going to the mall. Too many people

It is a dying concept. America's "latest" mall was built over 5 years ago.

The internet offers a convenience that typical malls don't have, and also development patterns are changing as more people prefer to shop in urban areas rather than a massive strip mall.

The mall closest to me sucks. All of the malls in the area suck, actually. The best shopping area is along a pedestrian friendly street.

They stopped building them in favor of 'Lifestyle centers' (Mixed use developments that resemble a fake "Main street" setting.Some of them also have apartments on top of the storrs

And one of the malls where I live still does a brisk business
