Melissa Smith (from Making The Band 3 & The Next Doll) new single
You guys may remember her as a contestant on 'Making The Band 3' and 'The Search For The Next Doll'.
Unfortuntely she didn't make Danity Kane or Pussycat Dolls (IMO, she shoulda made Danity Kane over Shannon), but she signed a solo deal with 4847 Records and is about to drop her debut album.
The first single is a nice little slow jam titled "I Believed".
I don't think she should have made it over Shannon (Shannon was still better), but Melissa was definately the next best pick after the 5 and it sux she lost in BOTH competitions. She seems to have wut it takes.
Not too bad of a single either, I just think something more upbeat would have been better.
she wasn't good enough for the group, they wouldn't have meshed like they do now. she's better off solo (besides shannon > melissa in dancing) shannon is vital to the group, her voice is so neutral/soft it can be layered with almost everyone elses.
okay song, bad first single. for an unknown artist to release a ballad as a first single is killer, the risk will not pay off.
beside's who cares about melissa, it's all about Francesca Ramirez from season 1.
