She's so down to earth and cool and yet y'all have the nerve to talk s**t about her. Why the hell would she be lying about that? Its pointless. And if she is lying, so what? Its nothing serious,its a damn joke.The only "annoying" ones are you people whining about what she said.
I don't think she's lying about her mental mix up between cake-walk and kick-walk, but to bring up "cake" NOW amidst all the pro-eating, pro-fatty media blow-up that is going on behind her...it does seem a bit over the top and unnecessary since that Oscar fall happened so long ago.
Still love her and her message, but she just needs to play it cool because it's very easy to acquire that Lorde persona.
You guys realize that she didn't just radomly decided to talk about what was going on in her head when she felt at the Oscars, right? She was probably asked about it when she was interviewed.
She's been answering to that question for a year now... someone asked her again and she told this story... she truly is a very down to earth person who don't give a **** if annoying stupid people will think she's lying or something... she just gave us a new answer to the same topic that will still be brought up a thousand more times... I wouldn't be surprise if some time from now, she tells a different story... anyone who watched her interviews (specially with Letterman) knows she likes to come up with stories... she doesn't sell them, you can see she's just says them for fun and she really doesn't give a **** for repercussions... that's the spirit that she has and that separates her from every other actress or actor out there.... she trully is something else and nothing can take that away from her now... sorry but you will hear a looooooot from her for years to come...

She's just being herself, let her be. For all her interviews I've seen, I don't think she is trying too hard she's just a funny and quirky person. I just love her

Even if what she said wasn't exactly true, I like that she can laugh off and joke around about something that was probably really humiliating for her. If the fall happened to other actors & actresses, I'm sure that some of them wouldn't even want to answer questions about it.
I love how people make up stories in their minds to try to justify making assumptions and being offended by an innocent statement. She's making fun of the situation. You may not trust her motives, but are they harming you either way?
