Agreed. When Gaga first arrived on the scene, she was huge--for good reason. She had great bops, and even though her image was outrageous, the GP could relate to most of her music and lyrics.
It's hard to personally relate to songs like Applause (tho it grew on me over time), Fashion, Venus, etc. That & also it's very over-produced. That being said, the album is a whole is still extremely enjoyable as a dance album. She just set herself up by over-hyping it.
Gaga has way too much talent to fade away over 1 under-performing era. Here's to hoping she's learned a few lessons, humbled a bit, and will channel all of that strife into some good music going forward.
