Gaga is becoming a Kanye West to me.. love both of their music, but if it's not a song, I can't listen to anything that comes out of their mouths. Didn't used to be that way, I thought she was incredibly insightful and intelligent, but she's getting wrapped in her own web of imperfections and it is really stifling her career. Even the little break she took from the media didn't really help her all that much. She has got to just stop talking and let the music shine on it's own. When I think of Do What U Want without all of her explanations and twitter antics, I legitimately think it's one of the most brilliant pop songs I've heard in a very long time.

Her and Kanye both realize that they are very intelligent, gifted musicians, but that is inherently part of their downfall because they never know when to shut it the hell on up. And this messes like this happen.

She delayed DWUW video upon seeing Bey's amazing "visual album". She probably lobbied for a reshoot from her label and that didn't happen.

She makes too much excuses and she cares too much about what people think about her. She basically become a victim of her own insecurities! She is obsessed with fame.... gurl, stop using social media to whine about things about whats going on with your career but instead focus on your work. Action speaks louder than words!

I enjoy Gaga mostly but you can tell her era's "under-performance" and the critical media/fan reaction has gotten to her. In the past, I've enjoyed the fact that she seems to enjoy interacting with her fanbase online, but now I kind of think she should perhaps avoid the internet for a while and stop reading so much press and fan reaction about everything she does. Sometimes as a celeb, you need to live in a bit of a bubble.

And if it is true that she's going through a lot personally and is experiencing a lot of physical & emotional pain, channel all of that turmoil and betrayal from people on your team into a kick-arse song (like Xtina's "Fighter"). The online media riddles are just nagl sis.

Though I love Gaga's music, I think her personality is way to dramatic... such a pity

DWUW is one of the only good songs on Artpop, yet the DWUW era is so embarrassing.

That possibility is like the only shining light this era (for me). ARTPOP suffers in large part because almost all of the content matter is so random and lacking any emotion whatsoever. I mean, it's great for the treadmill, but not much else. It's not ironic that Gypsy, the only song that feels truly honest, is by far the most liked.

Agreed. When Gaga first arrived on the scene, she was huge--for good reason. She had great bops, and even though her image was outrageous, the GP could relate to most of her music and lyrics.

It's hard to personally relate to songs like Applause (tho it grew on me over time), Fashion, Venus, etc. That & also it's very over-produced. That being said, the album is a whole is still extremely enjoyable as a dance album. She just set herself up by over-hyping it.

Gaga has way too much talent to fade away over 1 under-performing era. Here's to hoping she's learned a few lessons, humbled a bit, and will channel all of that strife into some good music going forward.
