In sunch cases, most people's speaking voice changes and talking is an effort. And for her to sing the way she did (pre 1997) with those nodules is a true testament to her technical brilliance . It's something a lot of people don't know about. She SLAYED and tbqh, continues to slay (though not as often) with nodules after over two decades. I just wish she rests more and stop with the excessive splashes.
For this album, I want more falsetto and pure head voice. Serve head voice dynamics a la It's A Wrap. Also some lovely lows. I know them runs gon' be on point.

Idk. Vocal rest is starting to become iffy. It's okay to do it for however long you need, but honestly I think Mimi's main problem nowadays too ,is not warming up enough before performing, and going up and down the scales. I know she has nodules, but i really don't think its good to be silent the whole day until you actually get to the mic.
She's needs to practice and rehearse more instead of winging it. That way she'll know what she needs to sing,or how.
It works for me tbh. Like if I play with my voice before I go on stage, I know if it's still raspy,or if i cant hit a certain note toady,So I'll know to avoid it or sing around it when i go out. God knows I want to be the laughing stalk of the church.
Like Mimi she just ...goes out there, and doesn't even try for the note anymore. The lipping is becoming a biT excessive.
Understandable,but..annoying
Vocal rest is good when you're sick or have nods, but right before you go on,you should warm up,it loosens the voice.
Why do you guys think Mimi sounds so good in studio?
because she gets as many takes as she wants, and by her 3 or 4th try her voice had became fluid and warmed up.
