Animals can't give consent. Neither can children. Really, wtf?

Well we kill millions of animals every day for food and clothing without their consent, and most pets can defend themselves if they feel threatened or hurt, so I really don't care if people practice bestiality. But there's obviously no reason for the government to ever recognize such a "relationship". The only discussion is whether the act itself should be illegal or not.

It should always be illegal because there really is no point or purpose in legalizing such a harmful thing. I think any legal discussion like this would unfortunately have detrimental affects on the LGBT movement so this whole mess can stay in the dark corners of the internet where it belongs.

The difference is humans can consent, animals can NOT consent. Really there's more basis to argue for pedophlia (not that I think it's right) than for bestiality. Why do people not see the major differences between interspecies sex and sex between consenting humans!?

I don't agree with beastiality as I explicitly stated in that post. However, my point WAS that people also thought homosexuality was disgusting in the past. I'm saying there's a possibility opinions towards beastiality could change with generations.
