I've definitely heard the breakdown before but it's gotten to the point where I can never tell if the dance breakdowns always sound familiar because I've heard the song before, or they all sound the same...

The song is pretty meh really. The breakdown bit is fairly catchy, but there's other songs which have similar ones (e.g. Sub Focus's current single). The only special thing about it is the lack of vocals, but we have Turn Down For What by DJ Snake which is doing better + way catchier, and also has (almost) no vocals, so it might steal the focus off Animals.

Yeah, it could actually be a different song. There's a few other songs with very similar breakdowns. The new Sub Focus single (Turn Back Time) that I mentioned, but there was also a song that was a big club hit here in the UK around 2009/2010 time which had a breakdown almost like this. I can't remember the name of the song, but I heard it hundreds of times lol.
