Not only from the Julian and Gregorian Calenders, but also as to why many religious holidays are celebrated when they are. Like Easter and Christmas. It all goes back to Rome.
The only calender that is probably the most consistent is the Chinese Calender I believe. The others kept being jolted around by religion.
