I remember 1D's first album being released in august 2012 (the last country where it was released) and charting a few times on imports too. It's not that uncommon there. Impatient stans will want to have their copy before its released in their country. That probably won't stop them from buying the japanese edition too, especially since they often have something extra (Daft Punk's RAM had an extra song, 1D's TMH had a special edition for the japanese market etc.).

Before you try to drag Beyonce, the sales are based on imports.
