Japan's sales are primarily physical. Digital is practically non-existent there. If there's any issues for physical retail like there is in the US, it would definitely explain why she's debuting low.

For our purposes it isn't though. They buy so little western music.
(I say this as a 1D stan..... and the boys smash in japan.)

Oh well.
Because Oricon is strictly focused on physical sales. They recently said they have to plans to incorporate digital sales.

But yeah, I worded it wrong since certifications are based on shipments in Japan. Real question: Will they ever sell 250k copies?

Why did it take so long?
Maybe they didn't print the CD in Japan but shipped them from another country?

Gaga has another promo spot airing today on Japanese television so I don't see why ARTPOP can't sell another 93,000?

Coolio.
Is this usual? Do many artists wait that long to release official version?

And they were so quick to run in here and throw shade.
And Japan is not the biggest music market either, RainDreamer.

No, I think she is waiting this long because she will release tour dates just before.

She would've debuted much higher if they counted digital sales the first week it was available.

Well damn RainDreamer exposed himself as real troll for no reason. The King selling that much and charting just off of
imports
. SLAY indeed.
