1. What you need is the item "Destiny Knot" this item when held by the Pokemon (usually Ditto) makes sure that the baby will have inherited 5 IV's from both parents.
2. Give the Destiny Knot to Ditto, and you want to have it so the other Pokemon is the nature you want. So for example I want my Butterfree to be Timid, so I look for a Timid Butterfree.
3. Now its helpful if the other Pokemon has good IV's, but its not always needed (Pokemon Safari is great since the Pokemon found there all have 2 Perfect IV's.)
4. So once you get the right nature, make sure the Pokemon with the right nature holds the EVERSTONE (this makes it so the nature is passed down)
5. Okay once, you have both the Ditto with the destiny knot and the Pokemon you want to breed with the right nature and everstone in the day care just bike around until the guy has an egg for you.
6. Continue until egg or eggs are hatched, and then fly to Kiloude City, the Ace Trainer next to the left window can check IV's. He'll say a number of things, and say "Wow this Pokemon has overall outstanding potential" then he'll list off stats. Now the ending phrase is important he HAS to say "Stats like those, they simply cannot be beat" that means the Pokemon has those stats listed, as 31 IV's.
7. Now, what I do is I keep switching the Pokemon for a Pokemon with better IV's in the day care. Like I just bred a Catepie with 4 IV's instead of 2 like the one in the day care. So I switch them, give the Caterpie the everstone, and repeat step 5&6.
Eventually you'll keep increasing your chances and you'll get a Pokemon easily with the IV's you need. This is the method I use anyways, its worked so far.
* The Destiny Knot on passes down 5 IV's FROM EITHER of the two parents, this is why switching out the Pokemon you want with a Pokemon with better IV's is helpful, it increases your chances. Since only 5 get passed down, 1 stat is always randomly made.
