She's very famous in the states as well, just because you don't see her on mtv doesn't mean she isn't known. Habitame Siempre was the best selling spanish album by a female in 2013 it also had the bIggest female debut by a female when it was released back in november 2012. It had 2 hits in latin radio in the states. She also has gold and platinum albums in the US
for a mexican singer that's A LOT trust me.
She's an icon in the latin community and that's why she became the first mexican female to get a star. Your fave paulina on the other hand tho

Btw Thalia also has a star in argentina and venezuela i believe
