Avril definitely. She writes about more varied topics. Taylor still can't seem to write more than one or two songs not about love per album.

Avril SERVES the most variety of all pop girls without changing her musical style to drastically. Avril is the true Queen and y'all will deal.

It is really impressive that Taylor wrote an entire critically acclaimed album by herself; yes, I'll give her that. Yet, Avril is more diverse in her songwriting; she writes about everything, basically. I think Taylor gets the attention though cause her songs are based on her relationships with well known celebrities.

Taylor IS the best songwriter but she's not diverse at all. That's the point. Avril is a mediocre/great writer, she's quite inconsistent, but she delivers in every department.
