Katy is a top act. If she wanted to, she could sell her tickets for $80 and people would pay them to see her at this stage in her career. Teenage Dream is still in recent memory and Roar is a hit.

The tickets are cheap because she knows that she's not putting on that much of a show no shade I mean her itunes festival performance was just M E S S

I saw one of the best shows of my life when she performed at the Hollywood Bowl. I paid about $100. For that, I saw her soundcheck, had free dinner and drinks beforehand AND was treated to a great non stop show from her and her 5 opening acts. Plus it was a cancer benefit to boot. She understands value.

My only complaint was that the set was too short. Problem solved for the upcoming tour.

Lol, in 2011 it was the most difficult thing to get to an Adele show.

The prices were up to 2000$ for some shows.

There is no doubt that a show like Gaga and Madonna is more expensive with the dancers etc.

But when I think of a Arena tour with reasonable price then I think of The Boss, like 100-120$

He doesn't need to pay dancers but he has to pay first class musicians and they don't come cheap.

Look in some kind of way I understand artists who want to compensate the low album sales because of pirating but it isn't the right way to let pay the most faithful fans of them.

I feel that it's a bitch move when you charge hundreds of dollars for a tour.

It basically screams I could give a **** about you or your wallet as long as I make my money. Also it gives people more of an opportunity to see you. I remember going to see Rihanna (who tickets are reasonable) and she put on a great show leaving the sold out crowd happy. Had she put up her tickets to sky high prices, I would have never went. I don't know how people go and see certain artist with how much they are charging. I love my fav very much but she or anybody else is not going to eat up my entire paycheck.
