Someone Lorde doesn’t love — or at least won’t admit to loving? Kesha, because once Lorde discovered “indie” bands, she thought it wasn’t cool to cop to K-Dollar Sign fandom anymore. (She’s wrong — Kesha is wondrous.)
This is such a reach. She didn't diss Kesha. She's just saying she went through a phase where she didn't want to be associated with pop music personally. Obviously now she doesn't care since she likes Katy and all that.

This is really terrible timing. It doesn't sound like she was intentionally trying to shade her tbh but it's extremely tacky, especially considering the current state of things. She seriously needs to learn when to keep her mouth shut. The world doesn't need to know your opinion on every little thing all the damn time

And to the people saying the timing is bad and /or attacking Lorde. True, but I'm sure this interview was done before it was made public of Ke$ha's personal struggles. And even then her opinion on Ke$ha's music would still be the same. I don't think she is saying as a person, she doesn't like her. Simmer down guys.
