Mariah is the best artist of the vocal trinity. She has the best discog of the bunch and she's a songwriter with a good ear for melody. Whitney and Celine had no creative output at all. The only thing they have over her is that I Will Always Love You and My Heart Will Go On have more impact than any Mariah song.

They are different singers. Whitney was a better belter. I think Mariah had a better falsetto. Also Whitney was a balladeer/church kid at heart so when she went all out it was glorious. Her belting was perfectly controlled.
I think I read somewhere that she used to write here and there but Clive had other plans.
I wish Skylar was still posting. He used to FUME over Clive choosing Whitney over Phyllis.

Whitney is definitely the best singer out of the 3. Mariah played around with her vocals and textures of her voice a lot more which I love.
