What possible need could you have of that many bookmarks? The purpose of bookmarks is to help you quickly navigate to often visited sites.

Having to sort through 3k+ kind of defeats the purpose

I keep my most visited sites in my bookmark toolbar, but otherwise I just bookmark anything interesting! Say I find a really amazing crowd video from a No Doubt show--bam, bookmarked, and now when I want to watch it again I just type "that really good dont speak video" in my search bar and it appears. Need my favorite Louis gif? Bam, just type in "louis sassy gif" and there it is What about that paper I'm working on? I bookmarked it under "great source for my bio paper"
