No. I was a sweet kid and didn't cry or shout in public.. not in private either actually not that I think of it.. but I did get beaten up sometimes as well for still playing and talking with my sibling or friends instead of going to bed. just the usual things. and no my parents are not black.
some parents just think that a bit of a beating isn't always a bad thing in raising children. some parents are for it and others are against it. got nothing to do with race
