Most people on here discuss chart success because there's entire sections dedicated to stuff like that. If they were really here entirely for success, they'd all stan for Madonna, U2, Rolling Stones, etc. who have long-standing success (in albums, sales, and tours).

Also, maybe people became Beyonce stans after her album because it was a superb album. I've always liked Beyonce, but that last album went beyond her usual work. I could see people stanning for her after the album because of its quality.

So you need to be a hipster in order to stan only for music, and not success?

Same, I stan for music/VOCALS. Success is a plus, but I still prefer 4 to most of Bey's albums. And will never stan for some of these other girls who pull up to the studio and sing whatever their label says will be a hit, no matter how many #1s they get.

I stan for Gaga, and haven't jumped ship within the last 6 months.

Nobody is getting into an artist because they're successful. It begins and ends with the music. It's just funner and easier to clock somebody with receipts... we're not always in the mood to get into deep musical discussions.

Success because Gaga's talent far exceeds any other pop girl right now.

I stan for some successful people but I don't stan for them because of their success.

They wouldnt be successful without good music in the first place. It begins and ends with music.

I stan for music, but sometimes success goes in the way.
i didn't like Roar at all at first. But when it became record-breaking successful, I said to myself: -Why not check it out again? And when I listened to it one more time, I fell in love instantaneously . Had if flopped completely from all the charts, I would have never had checked it out again.

Also, an occasion when I staned more for success was when BEYONCÉ dropped. I didn't fall in love instantly with the album, yet I was praising it to the four winds because of how excited the releasing strategy made me feel.

I love my girl to have her some success, but Britney Jean tanked and i still stan for her and this amazing album
