Sounds to me she was saying she is tired of the music industry promoting women (especially really young) as submissive sex toys.
That may not be what the song is about but it seems that way and there are lots of other stars doing that. Now I am not saying that women can't do whatever the hell they want with their own careers but still.
There are obviously cases of women feeling like they should behave in a certain way and do certain things to get ahead. Some may even be being told to act sexy. Many women in the industry have talked about this stuff before. and yet it still goes on
That's a little bit off in my opinion so no I don't think her comment was all that bad although she probably should not have specified Selena.
